Q: Do I have to be a firefighter to sign up?
A: Absolutely not! We use the Fire Athlete Fitness Program that has proven to have dramatic effects of firefighters, but now we are encouraging everyone to give it a try.
Q: Do I have what it takes to participate in the Fire Athlete Boot Camps?
A: YES you do! This camp is non-bias to gender, age, and fitness level. In the fire service we do things as a crew and when you persevere as a team it makes you better on scene. So with that being said, we use timed intervals to keep the crew together. If you love to be part of a team, then this is right up your alley.
Q: What are the Fire Athlete Boot Camps like?
A: We really let the workout speak for itself. We are yet to have someone not enjoy the workout or results. Though the fire service is a militaristic model we will never yell or bark orders at any of our participants. This experience is meant to be fun yet challenging and taught with encouraging motivation and positive team reinforcement.
Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: We will be using fire fighting equipment to workout with, So we provide the most everything. If you would like to bring your own exercise mat that’s cool with us. A decent pair of athletic shoes and at least 32 ounces of water are all you will need. If you don’t have these items we recommend that you invest in them at some point, but for now, no problem, just bring yourself!
Q: How do I sign up?
A: Registration is optional yet simple-Just click the “get registered” tab at the top right corner of the page, and fill out our simple registration form. Or just walk up and workout! You will need to sign a waiver which is also available online that you can bring to class or we will have them there for you before the workout begins.
A: Payment can be made at the camp location or securely made through PayPal with any major Credit Card or Debit Card. Checks and cash are accepted. $10.00 Walk Ups or $50.00 for the Month.
Q: What about bad weather? Can I still come?
A: This is one of the main reasons we workout at the Fire Stations. If the weather gets bad, rain, sleet or snow we will be working out inside the Fire Station garages. Though we will be inside still dress appropriately for current weather conditions.
